Mr Christopher Knapp

I have been a Consultant Ophthalmologist at the Lincoln
County Hospital in Lincoln since 1st December 2007.

My current role is that of a general ophthalmologist with a
specialist interest in oculoplastic surgery. I sit on the skin cancer mixed disciplinary team panel at the Lincoln County Hospital. I also have an interest in neuro-ophthalmology, graduating with an MD from the University of Leicester in
2009. My thesis investigated ‘Vertical Optokinetic Nystagmus in Adults with and
without Parkinson's Disease'

My surgical practice includes: cataract surgery, treatment of periocular skin cancers and their repair with skin grafts end flaps, correction of eyelid malposition, correction of ptosis & dermatochalasis (droopy eyelids) and watery eye surgery.

Whilst a trainee I took a year out of the training program
to work as a research registrar carrying out research into vertical OKN. I
graduated with my MD in July 2009.

I have given
presentations to numerous international ophthalmology meetings including the
USA, Sweden, Switzerland and India
