Mr Christopher Evans

Mr Christopher Evans specialises in hip and knee surgery, including joint replacement, revision procedures and arthroscopic knee treatments. He completed his Orthopaedic training in the West Midlands and undertook the Cavendish Fellowship, gaining advanced experience in all aspects of hip and knee surgery.

He is a highly experienced specialist with a very large hip and knee practice based at the internationally renowned Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital in Shropshire. He treats  patients from other areas of the Midlands and all other parts of England and Wales.

He has performed more than 8300 hip and knee replacements and focuses on less invasive and bone preserving techniques. He is actively involved in teaching and research at the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital.

In his revision practice, he specialises in techniques that maintain and restore native bone rather than bypassing it to improve outcomes now, and not jeopardise future options.

He is a strong supporter of the National Joint Register for the long-term assessment of implants and patient outcomes. He uses tried and tested joint replacements and will advise you of the options available in your case including newer technologies if appropriate.
