Mr Gallacher underwent his specialist orthopaedic training on the highly regarded Oswestry training programme during which he developed a sub specialist interest in surgery around the knee. He was fortunate enough to train under Dai Rees and the sports injuries team in Oswestry in addition to the knee specialists in both Stoke on Trent and Oswestry. Throughout his training he published papers on general orthopaedics and on specialist knee topics. Following completion of his specialist training he underwent fellowship knee training in Sheffield England and undertook a travelling fellowship supported by the British Association for Surgery of the Knee (BASK) in Europe visiting centres of excellence in knee surgery.

Lived with knee pain for 15+ years. Peter discussed 3 options with me and suggested the one he thought was the best fit. I had an allograft in my right knee 12 months ago. I was able to run again after 12 weeks.

From start to finish Peter was excellent. He explained the problem and what he planned to do to rectify and ensured I fully understood throughout. After the operation he explained what he had done and the next steps I needed to do on the rehabilitation journey ahead of me for full recovery.

From the moment I first met Mr. Gallagher, up until I left the hospital after my procedure, he was alway, polite, informative and reassuring, he was completely honest about every aspect, including the bad periods immediately after the operation, right up to the projected rate of my full recovery, so far all has gone as predicted. I am looking forward to meeting up with him again to hopefully give me a full bill of health.

I think he is amazing, he listens to my problems and is going ahead positively which has made me feel ten times better. I highly recommend any one with knee problems to come and see Peter..

I had an hto op on my right leg . Very worried about the whole operation but as soon as u meet Mr Gallagher he seems to put u at ease. Genuine nice gentlemen great surgeon thankyou for giving me back my life .

3 weeks post osteo chondral allograft of right knee. Just back from gym after 15min on stationary bike & 2.5k row. Incredibly grateful to Peter and his team for a new and rare procedure in the uk.
