Mr Baljit Dheansa

Baljit Dheansa is a consultant plastic surgeon based in Sussex. He is based at QUeen Victoria Hospital, The McIndoe Centre and Spire Gatwick Park Hospital. He has been performing plastic surgery since 1996 and has been a Consultant Plastic Surgeon since 2003. Baljit's training in plastic surgery was conducted at several renowned hospitals in the South East including Great Ormond Street Hospital, St Thomas' Hospital, Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, Queen Victoria Hospital and St Andrew's Centre for Plastic Surgery. He is on the specialist register for Plastic Surgery.

Enjoying every aspect of plastic surgery, he performs a wide variety of procedures both privately and through NHS. In the NHS he treats a wide variety of conditions including skin cancer, scarring, burns, burns reconstruction, vascular lesions, paediatric plastic surgery and general reconstructions. In the private sector along with these specialties he also has a Cosmetic surgery practice, specialising in breast surgery, facial surgery, body contouring, liposuction and abdominoplasty. In dealing with a vast cross section of patients he is able to provide a more tailored and individual approach to all clients.

In addition to his clinical work Baljit has an interest in research and has published widely in the field. He is an honorary senior lecturer at Brighton & Sussex Medical School and has been involved in the Scar Free Foundation, Blond McIndoe Research Foundation and British Burns Association reseach committees.

He is an examiner for the specialist FRCS (Plast) exam and serves on several committees that aimm to improve and develop services for patients with plastic surgery needs.

Outside of work Baljit tries to keep fit, play golf and try to keep up with his children. He is a family man and enjoys all aspects of parenthood. Occasionally he attempts to play the guitar despite complaints from those around him.
