Mr Ashish Desai is a leading Consultant Paediatric Surgeon with HCA Healthcare at the Portland Hospital and The Harley Street Clinic, along with an NHS Consultant post at Royal London Hospital. Prior to this, he was consultant paediatric surgeon at King's College Hospital for 12 years.
He has a special interest in Laparoscopic Surgery, Gastro-Intestinal Surgery, Neonatal Surgery and Urology. He has an enviable reputation and in 2012 he was named amongst the UK's Top 100 Children's Specialists by The Times Magazine. The talented surgeon offers a first-class service, performing routine surgeries such as circumcision, tongue-tie release, hernia and reflux treatments.
He is leader for paediatric bariatric suregry in UK and has been in various national committees setting standards and pathways for the same.
During his career, he has gained a wide range of experience from numerous centres of excellence including the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. He received his Medical Degree from the University of Bombay and has completed a Fellowship with the Royal College of Surgeons in Paediatric Surgery.
