Mr Anthony Davies

Mr. Anthony Davies is a highly experienced and respected consultant gynaecologist, working at both London Bridge Hospital and Chiswick Medical Centre (HCA Healthcare).

He is a general gynaecologist and therefore is able to diagnose and treat most gynaecological problems. He specialises in cervical cancer screening and colposcopy, and minimally invasive surgery. He also has particular expertise in endometriosis, menopause, abnormal uterine bleeding, polycystic ovaries and pelvic pain.

He graduated from Cambridge University and St. Mary's Hospital Medical School in London. He passed his specialist examinations in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 1994 and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2004. He carried out research into the different surgical techniques for performing hysterectomy. He has also published and presented work on colposcopy and minimal access surery.

In 2000, he was appointed as a consultant at Kings College Hospital NHS Trust which is a major teaching hospital and Academic centre in South London; during his 17 years there, he held critical roles, including the Lead for Clinical Risk Management in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Colposcopy Service, and the Gynaecology Outpatient Surgery Centre. He left in 2017 to focus exclusively on private practice. He is currently the Clinical lead for gynaecological services, the Chair of the Multidiscipinary Team and the gynaecological representative on the Medical Advisory Committee at London Bridge Hospital.

His clinics are set up for the convenience of patients to reduce the number of visits: many investigations such as smears, colposcopy and ultra-sound scans can be carried out at the first visit if indicated.

Mr. Davies takes a holistic approach to treatment, with treatments tailored specifically to his patients' individual needs. He aims to treat with minimal intervention where possible and has excellent links with other specialist healthcare professionals if required.
