I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in shoulder and elbow surgery, with a particular interest in the assessment and treatment of painful, stiff and unstable shoulders. I have been a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Hinchingbrooke Hospital, Huntingdon, since 2013 and also practise at Peterborough City Hospital.
My private practice serves patients across Cambridgeshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and Northamptonshire, with consultations available at Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital, Cambridge; Blakelands Hospital, Milton Keynes; Pinehill Hospital, Hitchin; and Woodland Hospital, Kettering.
I treat a wide range of shoulder conditions including shoulder pain, frozen shoulder, rotator cuff tears, shoulder impingement, recurrent shoulder dislocation and instability, acromioclavicular (AC) joint injuries and shoulder arthritis. My practice includes arthroscopic (keyhole) shoulder surgery, rotator cuff repair, shoulder stabilisation, AC joint repair and reconstruction, biceps surgery, and both anatomic and reverse total shoulder replacement.
My elbow practice includes tennis and golfer's elbow, cubital tunnel syndrome, elbow stiffness and elbow arthritis.
I also treat selected hand conditions, including carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger and Dupuytren's contracture, together with upper-limb trauma.
I completed specialist orthopaedic training in India and the UK and was awarded FRCS (Trauma & Orthopaedics) by the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2007. In 2013, I completed an advanced Shoulder and Elbow Surgery Fellowship at the Avon Orthopaedic Centre, Southmead Hospital, Bristol.
Alongside my clinical practice, I remain actively involved in research, surgical education and training. I have authored 30 peer-reviewed orthopaedic publications and presented research nationally and internationally. I serve as an MRCS Examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons of England, am a member of the ODEP Shoulder Committee, and contribute to national recruitment for Trauma and Orthopaedic surgical training.
My aim is to help every patient understand their diagnosis and treatment options clearly, whether that involves non-operative treatment or surgery, and to tailor treatment to each individual's needs and goals.
