In addition to this, Momin is an accomplished researcher, with over 10 peer reviewed publications published, covering a range extensive research interests after conducting full-time research at Oxford's Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine, for the completion of his Ph.D. Topics of his research include red blood cell disorders, personalised medicine and molecular haematology. Momin demonstrates his passion and commitment to the field by running a weekly anaemia and rare anaemia clinic at Royal Free Hospital.
