Dr. Momin Ahmed

Dr Momin Ahmed is a Consultant Haematologist with a decades worth of experience, specialising in Anaemia, Myelodysplasia, Refractory Iron deficiency and chronic Leukaemia's. Momin is currently based at Royal Free Hospital and Spire Bushey Hospital.

Dr Momin Ahmed first qualified for medicine in 1996, and then gained his Masters degree in Medical Molecular Biology at Westminster University and completed his training in Haematology at the Bart's and London Hospitals and gained an extensive amount of experience in the diagnosis and treatment of a range of blood disorders, including Myelodysplasia, bone marrow failure and Chronic Leukaemias. Momin has also gained memberships with the Royal College of Pathologists, Royal College of Physicians British Medical Association and the European Haematology Association. In addition to this, Momin is an accomplished researcher, with over 10 peer reviewed publications published, covering a range extensive research interests after conducting full-time research at Oxford's Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine, for the completion of his Ph.D. Topics of his research include red blood cell disorders, personalised medicine and molecular haematology. Momin demonstrates his passion and commitment to the field by running a weekly anaemia and rare anaemia clinic at Royal Free Hospital.
