Mr Mohamed Elmasry

Mr Mohamed Elmasry is an accomplished Consultant General Surgeon and Consultant Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgeon who provides expert, compassionate surgical care for individuals facing complex abdominal conditions. His clinical practice encompasses a broad range of general surgical procedures alongside dedicated care for benign and malignant disorders affecting the liver, pancreas, gallbladder, and biliary system. Driven by a patient-centred philosophy, Mr Elmasry prioritises clear communication, thorough consultations, and individualised care pathways, ensuring that every patient feels fully supported and informed at every stage of their treatment journey.

Mr Elmasry completed his medical degree (MB BCh) before undergoing specialist higher surgical training in Oxford and was successfuly awarded CCT (Certificate of Completion of Training) in General and HPB Surgery.  Demonstrating a strong commitment to academic excellence, he earned a PhD from the University of Liverpool, where his research focused on advanced strategies to support liver regeneration after major surgical procedures. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons - England (FRCS) . To remain at the forefront of surgical innovation, Mr Elmasry maintains active professional memberships with leading bodies, including the International Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association (IHPBA), the Great Britain and Ireland Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association (GBIHPBA), and the Association of Upper Gastrointestinal Surgeons (AUGIS). He has been practicing as a Consultant HPB and General Surgeon at King's College Hospital,  London,  since October 2023. 

In his clinical practice, Mr Elmasry focuses on modern surgical techniques, including keyhole and minimally invasive surgery, as well as complex resections for hepatobiliary and pancreatic conditions. His approach integrates comprehensive perioperative care with meticulous surgical precision to promote optimal patient recovery. Alongside his clinical work, he actively contributes to surgical research, education, and clinical auditing to continuously enhance outcomes and standards of patient care.
