Upon completion, Mr. Scott was appointed as a consultant general surgeon to the St Helens and Knowsley Trust in 1993, where he has since remained and become the senior surgeon.
Mr. Scott is responsible for the establishment of the Abdominal Wall Reconstruction service which is the country's largest and busiest unit specialising in repairing complex abdominal wall defects and is one of the busiest general surgery services in Europe. Mr. Scott is renowned for his work and has lectured at national and international conferences.

I had to have surgery for multiple incisional hernias and was petrified due to previous bad experiences with stomach surgery. I am so relieved to say that Mr Scott did an absolutely amazing job and that everything went perfectly. He is exceptionally professional and knowledgeable and I cannot recommend him enough.
