Dr Michael Eisenhut

Dr Michael Eisenhut is an established Consultant Paediatrician who provides expert medical care for infants, children, and young people up to eighteen years of age. Practising within hospital-based paediatric care, he offers comprehensive clinical assessments and tailored management for a wide spectrum of general and specialist childhood health conditions. Dr Eisenhut is committed to delivering objective, compassionate, and family-centred care, ensuring young patients and their parents receive clear guidance and reassurance throughout their medical journey.

Dr Eisenhut earned his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree and completed extensive specialist training in general and sub-specialist paediatrics. Alongside his clinical work, he is actively involved in paediatric research and academic medicine, contributing to published literature on infectious diseases, immunology, and inflammatory conditions in children. He has served as a chief investigator and principal investigator for national clinical trials, and has contributed to national clinical guideline development groups aimed at improving healthcare standards for young patients.

In his clinical practice, Dr Eisenhut has developed specialised expertise in paediatric infectious diseases and metabolic medicine. He provides expert management for complex infectious conditions, including tuberculosis, human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection in infants and children, and recurrent or severe infections affecting various organ systems. He also leads dedicated services for children and adolescents with metabolic disorders and medical complications associated with eating disorders, such as anorexia nervosa and avoidant and restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID).

In addition to his specialist services, Dr Eisenhut manages a comprehensive general paediatric caseload. His clinical interests include childhood headaches and migraines, recurrent abdominal pain, persistent cough, asthma, chronic constipation, and urinary issues such as daytime wetting and bedwetting (enuresis). Furthermore, he offers medical management and support for children presenting with medical complexities associated with autism spectrum disorder.
