Dr Melanie Greaves

Dr Melanie Greaves is an accomplished Consultant Radiologist with sub-specialist expertise in cardiothoracic imaging and diagnostic chest radiology. She provides comprehensive diagnostic reporting across a broad range of thoracic and cardiovascular conditions, assisting clinicians and patients with precise image interpretation. Her practice encompasses advanced imaging modalities, including cardiac computed tomography (CT) and cardiac magnetic resonance (MR) imaging, supporting the accurate assessment and management of complex cardiopulmonary conditions.

Dr Greaves maintains a focused clinical interest in interstitial lung disease, occupational lung disease, and thoracic oncology imaging, including lung cancer screening. She plays a pivotal role in multidisciplinary care, assessing diagnostic imaging for patients presenting with complex respiratory symptoms, pulmonary nodules, and vascular conditions. Her diagnostic expertise extends across CT angiography, cardiac imaging, and chest imaging, ensuring high standards of clinical assessment and patient care.

Dr Greaves completed her undergraduate medical degree at the University of London in 1986. Following postgraduate medical training, she attained Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) in 1989. She completed specialist radiology training across academic institutions in London, Newcastle upon Tyne, and the University of California, Los Angeles, achieving Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) in 1992. Dr Greaves maintains an active commitment to medical education, regularly delivering lectures and tutorials to radiology and respiratory trainees.
