Dr Matthew Coleman

Dr Matthew Coleman is a Consultant Obstetrician specialising in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, with dedicated expertise in maternal and foetal medicine. He provides compassionate, reassuring care to women throughout every stage of pregnancy. Focusing on both maternal health and foetal well-being, Dr Coleman works closely with patients to ensure safe, supportive, and highly personalised clinical care during pregnancy and childbirth.

In his clinical practice, Dr Coleman focuses on managing high-risk pregnancies and complex medical conditions that arise prior to or during pregnancy. His areas of clinical interest include maternal medicine, foetal health monitoring, and the management of medical complications in pregnancy. He is deeply committed to improving patient safety and quality of care, placing a strong emphasis on team communication and human factors in healthcare delivery.

Dr Coleman graduated with his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) from the University of Liverpool in 1987 and subsequently earned his Doctor of Medicine (MD) research degree. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRCOG) and a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP). Demonstrating his commitment to advancing maternal healthcare, he has also served as President of the MacDonald UK Maternal Medicine Society.
