Dr. Mark Mariathas is a dedicated Consultant Cardiologist and Interventional Cardiologist who delivers comprehensive, patient-centred care for individuals with a wide spectrum of heart conditions. As a specialist in interventional procedures, Dr. Mariathas possesses expertise in percutaneous coronary intervention, coronary angiography, and invasive coronary physiology. He routinely utilises sophisticated intravascular imaging techniques, such as optical coherence tomography and intravascular ultrasound, to guide precision treatment. His sub-specialised interests include the management of complex calcified coronary lesions using intravascular lithotripsy, the implantation of coronary sinus reducers for patients with refractory angina, and leading multidisciplinary clinical responses for acute cardiogenic shock.

Dr. Mariathas completed his undergraduate medical degree before undertaking higher specialist clinical training in cardiovascular medicine. He earned a Doctorate (PhD) from the University of Southampton, where his research concentrated on cardiac biomarkers and high-sensitivity troponin analysis.
