Dr. Mara Kotrotsou

Dr. Mara Kotrotsou is a Consultant in Gynaecology and Reproductive Health with over 10 years of experience in both state and private healthcare environments. She is also the Chief Medical Officer at Apricity, an innovative fertility support service.

Mara completed her postgraduate training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology through the Eastern Deanery (Cambridgeshire) later receiving specialty training in family planning, colposcopy and ultrasound. She developed an interest in endocrinology and reproductive medicine, finishing a two year fellowship in fertility at Imperial College London (IVF Hammersmith).

Mara worked as a Consultant Gynaecologist Fertility Specialist at the Bourn Hall Fertility Unit, as the clinical lead at Create Fertility who specialise in mild and natural IVF and at CARE Fertility who are one of the biggest providers of fertility services in the UK. She is particularly interested in recurring fertility treatment failure and the management of cases of low ovarian reserve. Mara is passionate about providing fertility care that takes into account individual histories and needs, with a true understanding of the toll fertility treatments can take on those undergoing it. She believes in compassionate and patient-tailored treatment.
