I cannot recommend Mr Lai highly enough. He cared for me from 12 weeks and delivered my baby via C-section at The Lindo. Given my history of miscarriages, I was extremely anxious at the start of my pregnancy, but Mr Lai’s care and reassurance throughout helped me relax and feel confident that I was in the very best hands. The regular, detailed scans and his clear, balanced explanations were incredibly comforting. He was always accessible, took the time to answer all of my questions, and never made me feel rushed or dismissed. I am also very happy with my C-section recovery and scar. I would additionally like to mention that his secretary is wonderful—always helpful and very easy to get in touch with. I am truly grateful for the care I received and would not hesitate to recommend Mr Lai.

Dr Lai is absolutely AMAZING! I am the kind of person that is absolutely mortified by anything related to hospitals and yet my elective C-section was so smooth I could not believe it. My experience of Dr Kai's care throughout my pregnancy and the birth of my child was excellent. We couldn’t have been taken better care of. We are so thankful we chose Dr Lai and would only return if we choose to have another child. I recently had the privilege of having Dr. Jonathan Lai as my obstetrician for the birth of my second child via elective caesarean section at the Lindo Wing—and I cannot recommend him highly enough. From start to finish, the entire experience was nothing short of exceptional. Dr. Lai is the epitome of professionalism. He guided me through the entire process with calm, confidence, and compassion. The surgery itself was completed swiftly and seamlessly, and I genuinely felt like I was in the safest hands possible. What stood out most was the incredibly zen atmosphere he created in the operating theatre—I felt so at ease, which is not something I ever imagined saying about a surgical procedure! Post-operatively, my recovery was smooth and remarkably speedy, all thanks to the meticulous care taken during the surgery and the excellent pain management Dr. Lai ensured was in place. He was always available, incredibly kind, and treated me not just as a patient, but as a person. I truly felt that he cared. The Lindo Wing staff and midwives were also absolutely wonderful. Their warmth, attentiveness, and round-the-clock support made all the difference in those first few days. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and their genuine kindness created such a comforting and nurturing environment. From the moment I met Dr Lai at my 11 week scan, I knew I was in the best hands. As someone who has always felt anxious in medical settings, I was instantly reassured by his warm, kind, and down to earth approach. This was our first baby, and after a long journey to get here, I had expected a pregnancy filled with worry. Instead, under Dr Lai’s care, I sailed through it - and truly loved every moment! His communication style is phenomenal - so reassuring, empathetic, clear, and, most importantly to us, kind. Any concerns or questions I had were addressed swiftly, and I always left feeling confident and supported. I opted for an elective caesarean, and the entire experience was incredibly calm and positive, thanks to Dr Lai’s expertise and reassuring presence. He created such a supportive environment, and my recovery has been nothing short of amazing. I was up on my feet the same day, felt great once the anesthesia wore off, and only took pain relief during my short hospital stay - none at home! The postnatal care has been just as exceptional, and we are beyond grateful to have found Dr Lai. What could have been an anxious time for me became the most incredible experience of my life. I had the most wonderful experience with Dr Lai during my pregnancy and delivery of my baby. I am deeply grateful for the expert care, personable approach and safe delivery of my baby via c-section at Lindo wing. My recovery was great, I was able to walk and be mobile few hours after surgery. Dr Lai monitored my pregnancy from the very beginning (week 6) and I felt reassured and well taken care of since the very first visit. He is very knowledgeable, always available to answer questions and provide support as needed. His expertise in fetal medicine also made a difference for us, we were re-assured our baby is well monitored and meant we didn't need to have too many additional scans with external providers. Dr Lai made sure I am aware of my options at all times and was very flexible in putting together my birth plan based on my needs. I could not speak more highly of Dr Lai and would highly recommend him. I would also like to add that he has an excellent team making the whole process very easy and positive.
