Dr Margaret Lyttle

Dr Margaret Lyttle is an accomplished Consultant Urological Surgeon specialising in female and functional urology. She provides comprehensive assessment, diagnostic evaluation, and evidence-based management for individuals experiencing a wide spectrum of lower urinary tract symptoms and bladder conditions. With an empathetic and professional approach to care, Dr Lyttle works closely with patients to deliver tailored treatment plans that aim to significantly improve bladder function and overall quality of life.

Her sub-speciality expertise includes the management of urinary incontinence, pelvic floor dysfunction, and recurrent urinary tract infections. Dr Lyttle also possesses clinical interests in urethral syndrome, outpatient urological procedures, complex urodynamic interpretation, and the management of post-surgical urological complications. Alongside her direct patient care, she serves as a Medical Examiner and holds prominent leadership roles in clinical education, surgical examinations, and healthcare quality assurance.

Dr Lyttle completed her foundational medical training at the University of Aberdeen, earning a Bachelor of Science in Medical Sciences in 2002 before completing her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery in 2003. She subsequently completed specialist urology training and was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Urology in 2016. Furthering her dedication to medical pedagogy, she was appointed a Fellow of the Faculty of Surgical Trainers in 2021 and awarded a Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Education from the University of Dundee in 2022. She maintains active professional membership with the British Association of Urological Surgeons.
