Dr Marek Bohm

Dr Marek Bohm is a highly dedicated Consultant Paediatric Rheumatologist who specialises in diagnosing and treating a wide range of inflammatory and musculoskeletal conditions in children and young people. Based in Leeds, he is committed to providing compassionate, patient-centred care that supports both young patients and their families. His clinical practice focuses on delivering reassuring and comprehensive care to children experiencing complex rheumatological issues.

Dr Bohm obtained his medical qualification in Prague, Czech Republic, in 2001. Following his graduation, he completed extensive specialist training in both Paediatrics and Paediatric Rheumatology in Prague. To further his expertise, he relocated to Birmingham in 2014 to gain additional clinical experience before taking up his consultant post in Leeds in 2016. He is a registered medical practitioner with the General Medical Council.

With a strong focus on improving the lives of young patients, Dr Bohm has a particular clinical interest in periodic fever syndromes and autoinflammatory diseases. His expertise also extends to managing juvenile idiopathic arthritis, childhood-onset systemic lupus erythematosus, and paediatric vasculitis. In addition to his clinical work, he is actively involved in research and clinical trials, contributing to the development of advanced treatment protocols and disease activity assessment tools to ensure the highest standards of care for children with chronic rheumatological conditions.
