Dr Manobi Borooah

Dr Manobi Borooah is a dedicated and highly skilled Consultant Paediatrician and Consultant Neonatologist who specialises in the care of newborns, infants, and young children. Known for her reassuring, professional, and compassionate approach, Dr Borooah works closely with families to navigate the complexities of neonatal and paediatric care. Her clinical practice is centred on delivering high-quality, evidence-based medical care, ensuring that every young patient receives the best possible start in life.

With a deep focus on neonatal medicine, Dr Borooah serves in key leadership roles, including as a Neurology Lead and an Education Lead. Her clinical interests and expertise encompass a wide range of complex neonatal conditions, with a particular focus on neonatal neurology, neonatal intensive care, and resuscitation. She is highly experienced in advanced treatments such as therapeutic hypothermia (cooling therapy) for infants with hypoxic-ischaemic encephalopathy, as well as the management of neonatal seizures, cerebellar haemorrhages, and congenital diaphragmatic hernia.

Dr Borooah is fully registered with the General Medical Council and holds a Certificate of Completion of Training in Paediatrics, with a sub-specialty in Neonatal Medicine. She is a Member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health. Committed to advancing the field of neonatology, she actively participates in clinical research and collaborative trials, contributing to vital studies on platelet transfusions in preterm infants and the diagnosis of foetal developmental brain abnormalities.
