Dr Mairi Fuller

Dr Mairi Fuller is a dedicated Consultant General Surgeon who specialises in breast surgery and oncoplastic procedures. Possessing broad clinical expertise in evaluating and managing both benign and malignant breast conditions, Dr Fuller delivers compassionate, patient-focused care tailored to individual patient needs. She collaborates closely with multidisciplinary clinical teams to ensure patients receive timely diagnostic assessments, comprehensive information, and reassuring support throughout their care journey.

In her surgical practice, Dr Fuller undertakes a wide range of diagnostic investigations and operative procedures. Her areas of clinical focus include the investigation of breast lumps, benign breast disease, and breast cancer care. She regularly performs diagnostic and therapeutic treatments, including ultrasound-guided biopsies, excision of breast lumps or fibroadenomas, and mastectomy procedures. Working alongside General Practitioners and specialist care teams, Dr Fuller ensures every patient receives coordinated, high-quality care from initial consultation through to post-operative follow-up.

Dr Fuller completed her undergraduate medical training at the University of Aberdeen, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MB ChB) in 1998. She undertook higher postgraduate research at the same institution, obtaining a Doctor of Medicine (MD) with Commendation in 2006, and achieved her Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCS) in General Surgery in 2009. Dr Fuller is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and holds professional memberships with the Association of Breast Surgery and the European Society of Surgical Oncology, having served on the Education and Training Committees for both organisations. She has also contributed to academic medicine as an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer.
