Dr Maged Shendy

Dr Maged Shendy is a dedicated Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who specialises in comprehensive women's healthcare and advanced urogynaecology. Committed to providing compassionate, high-quality clinical care, he works closely with patients to deliver tailored treatment plans across all aspects of reproductive health. His practice focuses on empowering women through open communication, clinical excellence, and evidence-based medicine.

With significant expertise in complex obstetrics and outpatient gynaecological management, Dr Shendy possesses particular skill in urogynaecological conditions and high-risk maternity care. His clinical interests encompass the management of stress urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and complex obstetric conditions such as placenta praevia and placenta accreta. He performs a broad range of surgical procedures, including vaginal repairs, vaginal hysterectomies, sacrospinous fixation, urethral bulking injections, and autologous fascial slings for incontinence. Additionally, he provides advanced care for complex caesarean sections and general reproductive health concerns.

Dr Shendy earned his medical degree (MB ChB) from the Alexandria School of Medicine in 1997. He went on to undertake post-graduate specialist training, completing Advanced Training Skills Modules in Urogynaecology, Advanced Labour Ward Practice, and Medical Education. He achieved membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and holds a European Diploma in Contraception and Reproductive Health. Dr Shendy remains actively involved in medical education and holds professional memberships with the British Society of Urogynaecology, the International Urogynecology Association, and the Society of Endometriosis and Uterine Disorders.
