Dr Alexander Oboh

Dr Alexander Oboh is a Consultant Gynaecologist based in Yorkshire. He provides assessment and treatment for a wide range of benign gynaecological conditions, including menstrual disorders, endometriosis, menopause and recurrent miscarriage.

His specialist practice includes robotic-assisted gynaecological surgery, particularly for endometriosis and uterine fibroids, as well as advanced laparoscopic surgery for severe and complex endometriosis. He also performs therapeutic hysteroscopic surgery, endometrial ablation, laparoscopic ovarian cyst surgery, female sterilisation and sterilisation reversal.

After completing his medical degree at the University of Benin Medical School, Dr Oboh undertook postgraduate training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Nigeria and the United Kingdom, including specialist training within the Yorkshire Deanery. He was appointed as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Hull Royal Infirmary in 2008 and currently holds an NHS consultant post with Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust.

Dr Oboh has a particular interest in minimally invasive gynaecological surgery, including advanced laparoscopy, hysteroscopy and robotic-assisted surgery. His clinical practice focuses on providing individualised, evidence-based care, with particular expertise in the management of endometriosis and other complex benign gynaecological conditions.

Alongside his clinical practice, Dr Oboh is a member of several national and international professional organisations, including the British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy (BSGE), European Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy (ESGE), American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL), British & Irish Association of Robotic Gynaecological Surgeons (BIARGS), British Menopause Society (BMS) and the British Medical Association (BMA).
