Dr Lyn Ventilacion

Dr Lyn Ventilacion is a dedicated Consultant Paediatrician who provides expert, compassionate care to infants, children, and young people. Serving as a Clinical Service Lead with a focus on paediatric allergy, Dr Ventilacion delivers comprehensive evaluation, diagnostic testing, and long-term care for children facing diverse paediatric conditions. Her patient-centred approach emphasises reassurance, clear guidance, and active collaboration with families to promote optimal health and well-being.

Her main area of expertise lies in paediatric allergy, where she manages conditions such as food allergies, atopic eczema, allergic rhinitis, urticaria, angioedema, and anaphylaxis risk. Dr Ventilacion conducts specialised diagnostic procedures, including skin prick testing, specific IgE testing, spirometry, and supervised oral food challenges, alongside providing vital education on medication management and allergen avoidance. Her clinical background also includes experience in paediatric neurology, acquired during advanced postgraduate rotations, enabling her to deliver holistic care to young patients.

Dr Ventilacion earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1997, followed by her Doctor of Medicine degree in 2001. She completed her higher paediatric training through the London School of Paediatrics, rotating through major tertiary teaching hospitals in London. In 2010, she attained Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health. Dr Ventilacion is a Member of the British Society for Allergy and Clinical Immunology and serves as a College Tutor, playing an active role in training the next generation of paediatricians.

Working closely alongside multidisciplinary health professionals, including specialist nurses, dietitians, and tertiary consultants, Dr Ventilacion ensures each child receives tailored and coordinated treatment. She is also engaged in clinical audit, quality improvement, and research initiatives designed to optimise care pathways and promote best practice across child health services.
