Dr Lukasz Polanski is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and a Subspecialist in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery, currently practising at Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital, Bourn Hall Fertility Clinic and North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust. Along with two other gynaecology consultants, he recently set up Cambridge Reproductive and Gynaecological Care (CRGC Stamford) clinic providing diagnosis and management of a wide range of gynaecological conditions through face to face and virtual appointments. With more than 14 years of clinical experience, he specialises in fertility, reproductive endocrinology, gynaecological scanning, and reproductive surgery.
He is an expert in early pregnancy and fertility scanning, including 3D imaging and HyCoSy procedures. Dr Polanski completed his subspecialty training at Guy’s Hospital in London and has worked extensively at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust. Dr Polanski is a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and serves as the Honorary Secretary of the British Society for Gynaecological Imaging (BSGI).
Alongside his clinical work, he holds a PhD focused on predictors of success in IVF and has published widely on fertility imaging. He is passionate about education and has established training courses to improve the practice of scanning in gynaecology. His clinical interests include infertility caused by uterine anomalies, anovulatory disorders, recurrent implantation failure, and ovulation induction.
In his clinical practice, Dr Polanski is committed to delivering highly personalised, patient-centred care. He ensures that every consultation allows dedicated time to listen carefully to each patient’s concerns, experiences, and priorities. This approach enables him to develop tailored, jointly agreed treatment plans that reflect both clinical best practice and each patient’s individual needs and preferences. For his care of patients experiencing pregnancy loss, in March 2025, he has been awarded the Special Recognition Award in the category 'OBGYN of The Year' by Mariposa International and The Saying Goodbye Foundation.
He places strong emphasis on timely assessment and intervention, aiming to reduce delays and provide clarity and support throughout the patient’s journey. Where appropriate, he incorporates innovative diagnostic tools and evidence-based advances in care, including novel non-invasive tests for assessment of suspected endometriosis. This allows earlier diagnostic insights and supports more informed decision-making.
Overall, Dr Polanski’s aim is to provide holistic, compassionate, and effective care that empowers patients, enhances their wellbeing, and ensures they feel fully supported throughout their treatment.

Listened to the history properly. Gave possible explanations and formulated a plan. My daughter commented on the way home that she 'felt listened to'.
My recent visit with Dr Polanski was very informative and helpful. He carefully explained the present situation and how we could proceed forwards in the future to help me recover and manage my symptoms better. He was patient and calm which helped me to comprehend the information and gain more understanding of my diagnosis. Indeed an expert.

Thank you for your very kind review.
I booked an appointment with Dr Polanski after feeling like I was getting nowhere with the NHS. Seeing Dr Polanski was like a breath of fresh air and I wish I’d done it a lot sooner. For the first time I feel listened to, considered and like someone wants to help me with the issues I’m having. He is polite, friendly and explained things in a way that helped me to understand. I have a plan for moving forward now and that’s helped me a lot mentally.

Thank you very much for taking the time to write this review!
Very friendly and professional. No pressure, just useful information and options

Thank you for your review!
I visited Dr Polanski for pelvic pain that I had suffered with for several months after a recurrent miscarriage. Dr Polanski took his time to listen to myself and my partner who was with me, he was clear in sharing his thoughts, thorough in his explanations of what could be the possible causes and what the options are for diagnosis, treatment and management. I felt heard and came out of the consultation with a clear plan forwards and confident I was in a safe pair of hands.

Thank you for your kind review and the time taken to put it in writing.
