Dr Lucy McCabe

Dr Lucy McCabe is an experienced Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who provides compassionate, patient-centred care across the full spectrum of women's health. She is committed to delivering individualised healthcare tailored to each patient's needs, offering supportive guidance throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and general gynaecological care. Dr McCabe places a strong emphasis on open communication, ensuring that patients feel fully informed, listened to, and reassured at every stage of their treatment journey.

Her clinical practice encompasses both general obstetrics and specialist gynaecological management. In obstetrics, Dr McCabe has a clinical focus on maternal medicine, foetal monitoring, complex antenatal management, postnatal care, and active labour ward oversight. Her procedure skills in obstetrics include lower segment caesarean sections and non-rotational operative vaginal deliveries. In gynaecology, she offers evaluation and management of early pregnancy conditions, alongside ambulatory gynaecology services, hysteroscopic procedures, and diagnostic consultations.

Dr McCabe earned her primary medical qualification with a degree in Medicine and Surgery. She completed postgraduate training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and earned a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Leadership from Lancaster University. She is a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and an active member of the Health Foundation's Q Community. Alongside her clinical duties, she holds the role of College Tutor, contributing significantly to undergraduate and postgraduate medical education and quality improvement initiatives.
