Ms Lucille Balcombe

Lucille Balcombe is a registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) and a Registered Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) with over 30 years of experience specialising in child and adolescent mental health. She provides CBT for both children and adults, and has a strong track record of achieving successful outcomes with young people and their families. Lucille is recognised as an expert in parenting and family group interventions.

In her senior role within a multi-disciplinary CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services) team in North London, Lucille served as Lead Nurse, where she undertook clinical, teaching, advisory, and leadership responsibilities. 

Currently in her private practice she is accountable for conducting clinical assessments, delivering direct treatment, and providing expert guidance for children and adolescents with conditions such as ADHD, anxiety, and depression. Her work combines advanced analytical skills with strong interpersonal expertise, allowing her to contribute authoritative insights to a wide range of professionals.

Lucille has also contributed significantly to the academic development of mental health education. She collaborated with health professionals to develop an MSc in Transdisciplinary Working in Child Mental Health at Brunel University, serving as an Associate Lecturer. Additionally, she partnered with Young Minds and City University to create an MSc in Inter-Professional Practice (CAMHS), guiding the programme through validation and later teaching as a Visiting Lecturer.
