Dr Liam Ring

Dr Liam Ring is a dedicated Consultant Cardiologist who delivers comprehensive, patient-centred cardiovascular care. He focuses on the thorough investigation and management of a wide range of heart conditions, placing significant emphasis on clear communication, active listening, and helping patients feel fully at ease throughout their diagnostic journey.

In his clinical practice, Dr Ring possesses extensive expertise in cardiovascular imaging and non-invasive cardiology diagnostic techniques. He has a specialist interest in advanced echocardiography, including transthoracic, transoesophageal, and stress echocardiography. His clinical scope includes the evaluation and management of complex valvular heart disease—such as aortic stenosis and mitral valve disease—as well as endocarditis, pericardial disease, and coronary conditions evaluated via diagnostic angiograms.

Beyond his direct clinical care, Dr Ring is actively engaged in medical education and the establishment of national cardiac imaging standards. He has served as a lead author and key contributor to official clinical guidelines on echocardiographic assessment for valvular disease and cardiac function. He is also deeply passionate about teaching and advancing clinical practice in cardiac diagnostics.

Dr Ring earned his primary medical qualification, a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), and subsequently attained Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP). He maintains active involvement with prominent professional bodies, serving as a Trustee and Co-Chair of Education for the British Society of Echocardiography.
