Mr Kim Chan

Mr Kim Chan is a fully trained Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon. They are included on the GMC Specialist Register in the Specialty of Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery. Their main subspecialty interest includes the whole spectrum of upper limb surgery, including shoulder, elbow, hand and wrist. They completed their fellowship in upper limb surgery in the North East of England. They also completed the BOA national clinical leadership during their fellowship year. They are committed to education at all levels, including undergraduate, higher surgical and postgraduate training. They are an author of the hand viva chapter for the postgraduate orthopaedics series.

Mr Chan practices evidence-based medicine and offers the latest treatment options, be it non-operative or operative. They provide management and treatment to all their patients in line with national guidelines and best practices. They perform the majority of operations as day cases, which means the patient can go home on the same day when it is appropriate without needing to stay overnight in the hospital. They provide the full spectrum of treatment for upper limb conditions ranging from simple injection to arthroscopic keyhole surgery and complex open surgery.
