About Dr. Kenneth Trimble
I qualified in Medicine in Dublin, with specialist training in Dublin, London and Edinburgh. I have been a Consultant specialist in Gastroenterology since 1995, working initially in Fife and now at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh and Spire Edinburgh Hospitals.
I have broad experience in general Gastroenterology and specialist expertise in diagnostic and therapeutic upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy and enteroscopy. I have a subspecialty interest in oesophageal disorders, irritable bowel syndrome and other disorders of the gut nervous system, including expertise in oesophageal physiology techniques.
I work in Spire Shawfair Park endoscopy suite which holds JAG accreditation. I am a member of the British Society of Gastroenterology, and have been Professional Lead for Gastroenterology at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh from 2014-2020
