Dr Katy Vincent

Dr Katy Vincent is an esteemed Consultant Gynaecologist who specialises in the diagnosis and management of complex gynaecological conditions, with a focus on chronic pelvic pain and adolescent gynaecology. She works alongside multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver patient-centred, evidence-informed care. Dr Vincent is committed to helping women and young adults manage challenging gynaecological symptoms, offering reassuring guidance and holistic treatment options designed to restore health and well-being.

Dr Vincent earned her medical degree (MBBS) from King's College School of Medicine and Dentistry, University of London, in 2000, following an intercalated Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biomedical Sciences & Anatomy in 1997. She completed her postgraduate specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, obtaining her Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in 2015. In addition to her clinical qualifications, she holds a Doctor of Philosophy (DPhil) investigating neuroimaging and pain processing, specifically exploring how steroid hormones influence pain perception. She is a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG) and holds professional involvement with the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP).

Throughout her career, Dr Vincent has developed a clinical focus on conditions such as severe period pain (dysmenorrhoea), endometriosis, painful intercourse, and persistent pelvic pain syndromes. Her clinical practice integrates scientific insights into female pain mechanisms, allowing her to formulate tailored management plans for both adult and adolescent patients. Dr Vincent is dedicated to validating and addressing symptoms that have historically been overlooked, ensuring patients receive comprehensive and empathetic care.
