Dr Katharine McDevitt

Dr Katharine McDevitt is an experienced Consultant Paediatrician dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate medical care to neonates, infants, children, and young people. She approaches paediatric healthcare with a patient-centred focus, working closely with families to ensure every child receives tailored, supportive, and effective treatment. Her clinical practice encompasses both acute hospital care and long-term health management, helping young patients achieve optimal growth and well-being.

With extensive clinical expertise, Dr McDevitt has developed key sub-specialty interests in neonatology, paediatric oncology, and child safeguarding. She plays a pivotal role in managing neonatal intensive care services, overseeing the specialist treatment of premature and critically ill newborns, as well as conducting comprehensive newborn and infant physical examinations. In addition to her clinical commitments, Dr McDevitt actively participates in paediatric research and multi-centre clinical trials aimed at improving diagnostic accuracy, infection management, and health outcomes for young patients.

Dr McDevitt completed her primary medical degree, obtaining a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). Demonstrating her commitment to professional excellence and rigorous standards in child health, she achieved Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH) and Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP).
