Dr Karen Stone is an experienced Consultant Paediatrician who provides high-quality medical care to infants, children, and young people. Holding senior executive leadership roles alongside her clinical duties, including serving as a Medical Director, she combines clinical expertise with a strong commitment to quality improvement and patient safety. Her approach focuses on delivering compassionate, child-centred care that supports both young patients and their families through every step of their medical journey.

In her clinical practice, Dr Stone specialises in Paediatric Emergency Medicine alongside general Paediatrics. She possesses expertise in managing acute paediatric emergencies, urgent childhood conditions, and complex paediatric presentations. Dr Stone is dedicated to ensuring rapid, accurate assessments while maintaining clear communication and a reassuring presence for parents and caregivers during acute situations.

Dr Stone graduated with her medical degree from Birmingham University in 1990. Following her undergraduate studies, she completed extensive postgraduate training in Paediatrics across Birmingham, London, and Yorkshire, subsequently obtaining her Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training. Throughout her career, she has held prominent senior clinical and administrative positions, contributing significantly to medical education, clinical governance, and the enhancement of paediatric healthcare standards.
