Dr Judith Virjee

Dr Judith Virjee is a dedicated Consultant Physician specialising in General (Internal) Medicine and Acute Internal Medicine. She is committed to providing reassuring, patient-centred care to individuals requiring acute assessment and general medical management. Her expertise lies in evaluating complex medical presentations, coordinating multi-system diagnoses, and delivering timely clinical interventions to stabilise and support patients during acute phases of illness.

Dr Virjee completed her undergraduate medical training at the University of London, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MB BS) in 2005. She pursued advanced postgraduate education, earning a Master of Science (MSc) and gaining Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP). She attained formal specialist status in both Acute Internal Medicine and General (Internal) Medicine in 2015. Demonstrating a strong commitment to medical education, Dr Virjee also acts as a Clinical Supervisor, guiding and training undergraduate medical students and newly qualified doctors.

In her day-to-day practice, Dr Virjee manages a broad range of acute medical conditions, encompassing initial clinical evaluation, diagnostic investigation, and adult emergency medical care. She holds a dedicated sub-specialty interest in palliative care, working to integrate high-quality symptom management and compassionate support into acute care pathways. Her empathetic approach ensures that patients and their families are fully informed and supported throughout every stage of their treatment.
