Dr Josie O'Heney

Dr Josie O'Heney is a dedicated Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist specialising in comprehensive women's healthcare, maternal medicine, and intrapartum management. Focused on delivering high-quality, patient-centred care, Dr O'Heney supports women through every stage of pregnancy, childbirth, and general gynaecological health. Her approach focuses on empowering patients through clear communication, shared decision-making, and compassionate clinical guidance.

Dr O'Heney completed her medical degree (MBChB) and holds a Master of Science (MSc). She is a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG) and actively contributes to medical education as a member of the Part 2 MRCOG SBA Sub-committee. Demonstrating a strong commitment to clinical leadership and quality improvement, Dr O'Heney has served as a National Medical Director's Clinical Fellow at the Healthcare Quality Improvement Partnership and as a NICE Clinical Fellow, contributing to national guidelines on foetal monitoring in labour and intrapartum care.

In her clinical practice, Dr O'Heney focuses on maternal medicine, high-risk antenatal care, foetal monitoring, postnatal care, and general gynaecology. She is particularly passionate about addressing health inequalities in maternity services and advancing patient safety through evidence-based practice.
