Dr Jonathan Rajan

Dr Rajan is a senior Pain Medicine Consultantw with national recognition. He has a  specialist interest in minimally invasive treatments to help a variety of pains including back pain, leg pain and knee pain, and use techniques such as radiofrequency ablation to help patients manage and reduce their pain.

Dr Rajan pioneered the use the Reactiv8 implant device for back pain as was the first to implant patients in the North West.

Dr Rajan has trained in London, Edinburgh, Manchester and more laterly leading neuormodulation centre in  Europe and has over 25 years worth of experience. 

Dr Rajan is a leader in pain medicine nationally. He has been the lead trainer for the Uk, member of the Board of the Faculy of pain medicine, has sat on the trainee and assement commitee of the Faculty of Pain Medicine and now serves as the VIce Chair of Examinations for the Faculty of Pain Medicine Uk. Dr Rajan is also an elected member of the Pain Chapter of the Royal Society of Medicine.

Dr Rajan has background of working in the regional referral centre for pain medicine involving complex clincs including seeing CRPS patients, widepsread pain and complex spinal pain. He leads the RF ablation service for knees and hips and has taught nationally on courses involving radiofrequency ablation. 

Dr Rajan works closely with Neurosurgical, Spinal and Orthopaedic colleagues to ensure the best possible outcomes are achieved. As a consultant, they have continued their interest in minimally invasive interventions to reduce pain, particularly for back and knee pain.
