Dr Jonathan Rajan

Dr Rajan is a Consultant Anaesthetist specialising in pain medicine. They have a specialist interest in minimally invasive treatments to help a variety of pains including back pain, leg pain and knee pain, and use techniques such as radiofrequency ablation to help patients manage and reduce their pain.

Dr Rajan works closely with Neurosurgical, Spinal and Orthopaedic colleagues to ensure the best possible outcomes are achieved. As a consultant, they have continued their interest in minimally invasive interventions to reduce pain, particularly for back and knee pain.

Dr Rajan also has a background working in a tertiary referral, specialist pain service, having trained in London and the North West. They are the faculty tutor for pain medicine at Salford Royal, the Manchester University lead for undergraduate pain medicine and are regional lead on the faculty of pain medicine advisory group for undergraduate education for the North West. They are also a committee member on the British Pain Society Education Committee.

Dr Rajan qualified in 2006 from Edinburgh University and has trained in Edinburgh, London and the North West.
