Mr Jonathan Ash

Mr Jonathan Ash is a Consultant Gynaecologist and Associate Medical Director at East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust, also practicing at The Beardwood Hospital. With over 20 years’ experience in women’s health, he combines clinical expertise with a passion for patient-centred care.

Mr Ash studied medicine at the Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine, University of London, graduating in 2002. After working in a busy obstetric hospital in Western Australia, he completed his postgraduate training in obstetrics and gynaecology in Bristol and the Southwest, gaining wide-ranging experience across the specialty. He became a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG) in 2011 and has been a Consultant in Lancashire since 2013.

He offers comprehensive care across all areas of gynaecology, including the management of menstrual problems, pelvic pain, vulval and labial surgery, vaginal prolapse, urinary issues, and menopause support. His surgical expertise spans minimally invasive procedures such as laparoscopy, endometrial ablation, and hysterectomy, with an emphasis on quicker recovery and improved outcomes.
