Mr John McKinley is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with two decades of experience in performing foot and ankle surgery. He sees privative patients at Spire Murrayfield Hosptial and at the Edinburgh Clinic.

Mr McKinley gained his primary medical qualification at the University of Dundee and went on to undertake his specialist training in Edinburgh and Melbourne, Australia. Upon completion, he was appointed Consultant at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh in 2007, being the first Consultant in Scotland appointed to specialise in foot and ankle problems. He is also involved in the training of future health professionals and surgeons, being the programme director of the ChM: a surgical distance learning course under the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and University of Edinburgh.
