Dr John McCabe is a dedicated Consultant Paediatrician who provides expert, compassionate medical care for children and young people up to sixteen years of age. Understanding how unsettling it can be for parents when a child is unwell or experiencing developmental challenges, he offers prompt, comprehensive assessments and tailored care plans. Dr McCabe works collaboratively with families to ensure every young patient receives personalised, high-quality care in a comforting and reassuring environment.

In his clinical practice, Dr McCabe manages a wide spectrum of acute and chronic paediatric conditions. He holds a specialist clinical interest in child and adolescent neurodevelopment, providing thorough, evidence-based assessments and ongoing care management for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). His general paediatric expertise encompasses growth and development monitoring, feeding issues, childhood asthma, respiratory tract infections, gastrointestinal complaints including abdominal pain, constipation, and diarrhoea, as well as urinary tract infections, jaundice, headaches, fainting, and unexplained lumps or bumps.

Dr McCabe completed extensive postgraduate training in general and acute paediatrics across both inpatient and outpatient settings. He serves as an instructor on both Newborn Life Support and Advanced Paediatric Life Support courses, reflecting his advanced training in emergency paediatric care. He actively engages in continuous professional education, maintaining rigorous clinical standards to deliver safe, modern healthcare for infants, children, and adolescents.
