Dr Silvia Pierini is an internationally recognised consultant paediatrician, specialising in general paediatrics, neonatology, newborn physical examination, infant nutrition, infections, milk intolerance, and breastfeeding. She currently practices at her private clinic in central London, the Dr Silvia Pierini Clinic, providing comprehensive care for children from birth through adolescence. Fluent in English and Italian, and conversational in Spanish, Dr Pierini offers same-day emergency appointments and telephone support for families whose children are too unwell to travel.
Dr Pierini received her medical degree from the University of Pisa in 1991, graduating summa cum laude. She completed her specialisation in general paediatrics at the University of Pisa in 1996, and earned a qualification as a General Practitioner from the University of Florence in 1999. She further pursued a Master in Neonatal Intensive Therapy from the University of Padua in 2004 and became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) in 2007.
Before establishing her private clinic, Dr Pierini practised extensively in Italy and, following her relocation to the UK in 2010, worked at St Thomas’ Hospital, Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, and other NHS trusts, eventually becoming a consultant at University of Cambridge West Suffolk Hospital in 2015. With over 30 years of experience, she combines expert clinical knowledge with a personalised approach, supporting families at every stage of a child’s development.

Dr Pierini is the best , she has been my twins’s doctor since they were born and my kids are so comfortable with her , she is so good and highly recommended, I wouldn’t changer for anyone else. I travel a long way to get to her and I don’t mind it at all to get the best for my kids
