Dr Joe Grainger

Dr Joe Grainger is a Consultant Paediatric ENT Surgeon who provides comprehensive diagnostic and surgical care for infants, children, and young people experiencing ear, nose, and throat conditions. Working within multidisciplinary clinical teams, Dr Grainger delivers tailored treatment plans designed to address both routine and highly complex paediatric otolaryngological disorders. His practice is centred on delivering compassionate, patient-focused care, ensuring that young patients and their families feel reassured and informed throughout diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.

In his clinical practice, Dr Grainger possesses sub-specialist expertise in paediatric airway management, performing advanced diagnostic and corrective procedures such as laryngoscopy, tracheoscopy, and airway reconstruction. His surgical portfolio encompasses head and neck procedures, including cervical lymph node biopsies, thyroid surgery, and the excision of congenital anomalies such as branchial cleft cysts and thyroglossal duct cysts. Additionally, Dr Grainger manages paediatric rhinology conditions, including choanal atresia and nasal dermoids through functional endoscopic sinus surgery, alongside endoscopic ear surgery and emergency interventions for acute airway or traumatic presentations.

Dr Grainger earned his medical degree, Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (BMBS), and holds a Master of Medical Science (MMedSci) alongside a Diploma in Child Health (DCH). He achieved Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Otorhinolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, FRCS (ORL-HNS), reflecting his extensive postgraduate surgical training and professional credentials.
