Dr. Joanna Moore is one of the leading liver transplant specialists in the North of England, combining her expertise in hepatology with gastroenterology and general medicine. She leads the Young Adult and Wilson’s Disease services at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. Her areas of focus include all aspects of liver disease including acute liver failure, haemochromatosis, cirrhosis, fatty liver disease, autoimmune liver disease, alcohol-related liver disease, and hepatitis. She also performs advanced procedures such as endoscopies and fibroscans.
Dr. Moore holds an MD from Edinburgh University for her research in Acute Liver Failure and the use of stem cell therapy for cirrhosis.
Widely published, she is also an advisor to NICE and an author of national guidelines. She is passionate about training future doctors and holds postgraduate qualifications in medical education.
She has been awarded the highest national 'Clinical Impact Award' for her outstanding contribution to the provision and improvement of patient care.
