Dr Joanna Clothier

Dr Joanna Clothier is a dedicated Consultant Paediatric Nephrologist who provides compassionate and comprehensive medical care for infants, children, and young people with renal and urological conditions. Specialising in Paediatrics, Dr Clothier focuses on evaluating and treating a wide range of kidney and bladder disorders, working closely with young patients and their families to achieve the best possible health outcomes.

Her clinical interests encompass general paediatric nephrology, chronic kidney impairment, and paediatric kidney transplantation. In addition to managing chronic and complex renal diseases, Dr Clothier has expertise in treating childhood bladder dysfunction and lower urinary tract disorders. She incorporates advanced diagnostic and therapeutic techniques into her clinical practice, including urodynamics and biofeedback training, to deliver tailored care for each child.

Dr Clothier qualified in medicine (MB BChir) at the University of Cambridge in 2000. She subsequently completed extensive higher specialist training in paediatric nephrology across leading clinical training programmes prior to her appointment as a Consultant Paediatric Nephrologist.
