Mr James Worsfold

Mr James Worsfold is a Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon and Consultant General Surgeon who provides expert care for individuals presenting with both benign and malignant breast conditions. Dedicated to delivering compassionate and reassuring care, he offers clear guidance and prompt diagnostic assessment to help put patients at ease. His patient-centred approach ensures that each treatment plan is carefully tailored to meet the clinical and personal needs of every individual.

In his clinical practice, Mr Worsfold specialises in the comprehensive investigation and management of breast symptoms, including breast lumps, pain, nipple discharge, and abnormal mammogram or ultrasound findings. He has extensive expertise in breast cancer treatment and performs procedures such as breast-conserving surgery (lumpectomy and wide local excision), mastectomy, sentinel lymph node biopsy, and diagnostic breast biopsies. By combining sound oncological principles with oncoplastic surgical techniques, he strives to achieve the best surgical outcomes while maintaining aesthetic appearance and symmetry.

Mr Worsfold completed his medical education with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree, alongside an Intercalated Bachelor of Science with Honours (iBSc Hons) in Infection and Immunity. Following specialist surgical training, he obtained his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) in General Surgery. To remain at the forefront of surgical advances and maintain the highest standard of patient care, he holds professional memberships with the Royal College of Surgeons of England and the Association of Breast Surgeons.
