Mr James Sansum

James Sansum is an experienced optometrist currently serving at Urquhart Opticians. With a career spanning 15 years predominantly in independent practices, James brings a wealth of expertise and dedication to his role. James actively participates in local diabetic retinopathy screening programs and post-operative cataract checks.

Currently pursuing the Independent Prescribing (IP) course at Glasgow Caledonian University, James is dedicated to furthering his knowledge and skills in optometry to provide the highest quality of care to his patients.

James obtained his Bachelor of Science with Honours (BSc Hons) in Optometry from Glasgow Caledonian University in 2008. Since then, he has held various positions in the field, including roles at Shaw Eyecare, Ian Faith Optometrists/Lesley Dobbie Optometrists, and Boots Opticians, where he began his career as a pre-registration optometrist.
