Mr Prashant Shah is the Lead Optometrist at OCL Vision and a visiting clinician at the University of Hertfordshire. With over 20 years of experience, he has built a distinguished career in optometry, specialising in advanced clinical eye care and independent prescribing.
Mr Shah graduated with a BSc in Optometry from City, University of London in 2004 and went on to complete a Postgraduate Diploma in Ophthalmology at Middlesex University in 2008, followed by a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Optometry at City University, London in 2010. Most recently, he attained his Independent Prescribing (DipTp(IP)) qualification through the College of Optometrists in 2023, enabling him to diagnose and prescribe treatment for a wide range of eye conditions.
Before joining OCL Vision in 2022, he spent nearly 17 years as an Optometrist with Vision Express, where he gained extensive experience in community eye care. In his current role, he leads the optometry team at OCL Vision, working closely with surgeons to deliver exceptional pre- and post-operative care, advanced diagnostics, and personalised treatment for patients.
Mr Shah has written more than 30 clinical articles published in various optometric journals on various optometric and ophthamological topics
