Very professional, convivial, and helpful, felt very reassured
Communication and the explanation provided which reasured me knowing that current condition of the hernias.
Had my follow up consultation tonight with Mr Oliphant tonight at Ross Hall clinic at Braehead, Glasgow. Time of meeting was earlier than planned, which meant less time in the waiting room. Mr O greeted me in his usual polite, friendly, professional manner which would benefit any patients that are a bit stressed/anxious re their consultation. So dont worry......Mr O will put you at ease immediately. He spent time to go through my CT scan report/results and his opinion on the next steps available to me. Listed the pros/cons of each decision made, the level of risk of these decisions to my health (detailed risk assessment). Also made it clear it was entirely my choice to take on the risks of such if i wanted surgery. But also gave me his advice if symptoms changed if i decided no surgery, told me what to look out for and what i should do if my symptoms worsened. But to see him again if i needed more advice or further scans/tests. Also i had written down a small list of questions done in short bullet points so it meant my questions were answered verbally, clearly, concise and it meant less time wasted on me ranting on for ages trying to remember what i wanted to ask. Which would waste time in the consultation appointment. Time is precious and it meant my time with him was maximised with relevant questions. Obviously dont write a long essay for him to read. But short bullet point questions maybe helpful to yourself and him too. You know what its like, yiu walk in, sit down and want to tell him everything, anything, from A to Z and that can lead to a much longer appointmen...
