Dr. Ibrahim Rajput

Mr Ibrahim Rajput is a Consultant General Surgeon based at the Duchy Hospital Harrogate, Spire Leeds Hospital, Spire Harrogate Clinic, and St James's University Hospital in Leeds. He has a special interest in benign biliary disease, including gallbladder and bile duct conditions. He performes over 150 cholecystectomies annually.  Mr Rajput also specialises in hernia repair, including groin and sportsman’s hernias.

Mr Rajput studied medicine at the University of Leeds, earning his Bachelor of Science in 2001, Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 2003, and a Medical Doctorate (MD) in 2016. He later became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2020. His academic background supports his clinical expertise in hepatobiliary and transplant surgery, developed through advanced training and consultant roles at leading hospitals including the Royal Blackburn Hospital, where he performed complex liver and pancreatic cancer surgeries.

In addition to his clinical work, he remains actively involved in research, with numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals and regular presentations at national and international conferences.

Mr Rajput is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons and the British Medical Association. He is dedicated to providing evidence-based, patient-centred care across a range of general and specialist surgical procedures.
