Dr Hildegard Hall

Dr Hildegard Hall is a highly dedicated Ophthalmologist focused on delivering comprehensive, patient-centred eye care. Specialising in the diagnosis, management, and treatment of a wide range of visual and ocular conditions, she combines clinical precision with a compassionate approach. Dr Hall works closely with each patient to ensure tailored care plans that support long-term visual health and clarity.

Dr Hall completed her undergraduate medical degree at the University of Edinburgh before undertaking specialist postgraduate clinical training in Ophthalmology. In 2016, she gained Fellowship with the Royal College of Ophthalmologists after successfully completing her specialist fellowship examinations. Furthering her dedication to advancing medical knowledge, she earned a Wellcome Trust funded PhD investigating genetic eye conditions and holds a position as an academic Clinical Lecturer.

Dr Hall possesses a broad scope of clinical expertise across general eye health and specialised sub-disciplines. Her primary areas of clinical focus include ocular genetics and monogenic eye diseases, with dedicated interest in developmental conditions such as aniridia and microphthalmia. She also has significant clinical experience in managing corneal conditions, peripheral ulcerative keratopathy, and complex cases involving ocular toxicity.
