Dr Hilary Archer

Dr Hilary Archer is a highly regarded Consultant Neurologist specialising in cognitive neurology and dementia. With a reassuring and patient-centred approach, she is dedicated to diagnosing and managing complex neurological conditions, with a particular focus on cognitive impairment and neurodegenerative disorders. Her clinical work is driven by a commitment to providing comprehensive, compassionate care to individuals experiencing memory difficulties and other cognitive changes, helping them and their families navigate their healthcare journeys with clarity and support.

Dr Archer qualified in 1996, having completed her medical training at the University of Oxford, where she earned her Master of Arts degree, and subsequently completed her clinical training in London. Demonstrating a deep commitment to advancing the field of neurology, she was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from University College London (UCL) for her research into mild cognitive impairment and early-stage Alzheimer's disease. She is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP), reflecting her high standards of professional excellence and clinical expertise.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr Archer is actively involved in clinical research and academic leadership. She has served as an Academic Clinical Lecturer in Dementia Neurology and has held the role of Co-Director for the Dementia Health Integration Team.
