I was apprehensive about rehab re alcohol dependency after a negative experience in a different clinic 5 years ago....but I needn't have worried as soon as I had my assessments with Colin Jones (therapist) and Dr Fafiolu ( Consultant ) I knew I'd made the right choice .I completed my treatment on 25th March It is such a caring ,compassionate,positive and safe environment and you know that every single member of staff wants the best for you and for you to get better. The staff are all absolutely amazing and that includes Consultant, therapists,Holbrook ward team,housekeeping team and kitchen staff oh and not forgetting the admin & reception teams. It felt like my home for the 28 days and the patients and staff like extended family! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Bristol Priory to anyone that needed help with an addiction .

I experienced the best treatment I could ever imagine. The staff are the nicest most genuine people I have ever met and felt like family.

I have just completed a 28 day intensive inpatient stay at Bristol Priory for treatment for depression & anxiety. The whole team Priory is so kind & welcoming I found my care under Dr Radu Iosub & the whole team nothing short of excellent The therapy was amazing, & it was especially to have different types of therapy & have the exposure of different therapists who had vast experience. I found the group sessions surprisingly beneficial. The staff on Holbrook ward were so kind, I felt like it had a very protected family atmosphere & you had the quiet time you needed in your room if needed. The food wasn't as good as expected. The catering contract had just been changed & the food standard had dropped while I was staying but hopefully it's a time of adjustment & with feedback it will get better. My stay at the Priory has literally saved me & helped me find the skills to cope with my mental health better & not loose hope, which I will always be forever grateful.

Absolutely fantastic and life changing. Never have I felt so safe, welcome and not judged. With the right attitude and application the time spent with trained professional therapists, nurses, general staff, management has been truly amazing. I felt privileged to have spent my time in here with a great deal of tools to aid me on my continuing addiction recovery. Ignore and bad media that suggests The Priory is where celebrities go. Everybody who passes through her from day one until the discharge is treated like a celebrity. It’s a 4 week period of my life I will never forget, I will look back with gratitude and humility always. 10/10. Holbrook Ward staff, every single one of them. Everyone from Ward Manager down and across have been a breath of fresh air and I will sadly miss them all. Time to get back to life on life’s terms and approach life with positivity no matter what is thrown my way in the future.

Excellent facilities and a very good service

The past 28 days on Holbrook Ward has changed my life each and every member of staff from the ward, therapy Team, kitchen and reception are so friendly and kind. I feel at home here and don’t want to leave. I struggled for more than 13 years with opioids and alcohol right from the age of 18 to now at the grand old age of 43. This stay in the priory. Bristol has been the best thing I have ever done and money well spent Dr Iosub has been wonderful also, and I can’t thank the Priory and Holbrook Ward enough. Lots of therapy and activities to do has meant a brilliant (but busy) 28 days, but if you are struggling with addiction and need the help and really do want to change, this will be the best money that you have ever spent. I feel the treatment and support I have received so far has helped my recovery through intense therapy and medically assisted detox. This stay at the primary has given me the tools to live a meaningful and clean life. I have always been supported to have visitors and family and even my husband feels at home here all of the staff on the ward are amongst the most kindest non-judgemental people I have ever met. They are always willing to talk make you feel safe, and are really approachable. The food here has been lovely and plenty of it. In fact I have gone up to dress sizes in 28 days! The ward environment is spotless clean and tidy. Alongside the therapy, we also have yoga classes, art therapy and staff are willing to complete activities with me. For example, crochet, and making things like a flower display. During my stay here I have also had Reiki which was a completely new experience for me. I feel completely secure and safe and I’m involved in creating my Care plans. The manager of the ward is absolutely wonderful. She is so approachable checks in with me every day, and she strives for the very best for us. I love each and every one of the staff members here and just wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart
